The Borgarbros dental clinic was founded in 1984 and was first located in Kringlan, but then moved to Réttarholtsvegur 3 in 2006 and has been located there ever since.
We have good wheelchair access and plenty of parking.

Examination and teeth cleaning- online offer

It's a good idea to take your child for their first dental check-up around their first birthday. Initial visits typically occur every six months for the first few years to help your child get comfortable with the dental office. During the first appointment, the child becomes familiar with the dental chair and meets the dentist. With each subsequent visit, they gradually move on to the next steps -eventually leading to X-rays, professional cleanings, and the application of fluoride varnish, once the child is ready.

Dental examination before the age of 18

A detailed dental examination focused on detecting caries and other pathological changes within the oral cavity. The procedure includes  two diagnostic X-rays, a clinical diagnosis, and comprehensive documentation of the patient’s oral health status.

Teeth cleaning

Tooth extraction is performed under local anesthesia. The cost of the procedure depends on its level of difficulty.
Each procedure includes local anesthesia and a periapical (single-tooth) X-ray, which helps accurately assess the tooth's position and plan the appropriate course of treatment.

Extraction

Tooth cavities can result from decay, tooth fractures, or worn-out fillings. After cleaning the affected tooth tissue, the cavity is filled with a composite material. The cost of treatment depends on the size of the cavity. Anesthesia and RVG (digital X-ray) are not included in the price.

Tooth repair

Endodontic treatment, also known as root canal therapy, involves removing infected pulp from the tooth's canals. The canals are then carefully cleaned, shaped, and filled. Teeth vary in their anatomical structure and the number of canals. The cost of treatment depends on the number of canals, their anatomy, and the severity of inflammation, which may affect the number of required visits.
The price includes local anesthesia and an RVG (digital X-ray). Composite filling or prosthetic restoration is charged additionally.

Endodontic treatment

The treatment consists of 2 visits. During the first visit we take an impression of the mouth to prepare custom-made trays. At the second visit, the patient receives the trays along with 2 syringes of whitening gel and detailed instruction for home use.
Before teeth whitening, it is essential to treat all cavities and perform a professional dental cleaning (scaling and polishing).
If the patient is not properly prepared, the whitening procedure may be postponed or rescheduled to ensure both safety and effectiveness of the treatment.

If there are any existing dental issues such as decay, fractures, or inflammation, these must be treated before the whitening procedure. 
If a more extensive cleaning and/or dental treatment is needed, the appointment will be converted into a cleaning and treatment session instead. A new appointment will then be scheduled for the whitening procedure.
